Asylon Robotics Supports Comprehensive Public Safety Operations at the Democratic National Convention 

Chemical Gas Detecting, Advanced Robotic Dog Enhances Safety and Efficiency at the DNC.

Philadelphia, PA – September 3, 2024 – Asylon Robotics is proud to announce its successful involvement in security operations during the recent Democratic National Convention (DNC). Leveraging their advanced DroneDog™ platform powered by the Boston Dynamics “Spot” robot and integrated with a chemical gas detection sensor from 908 Devices, Asylon played an important role in enhancing situational awareness and monitoring across various high-security environments. 

Throughout the convention, Asylon supported a range of local, state, and federal agencies by conducting essential security operations across multi-modal environments, both on land and water. The DroneDog unit, equipped with the 908 Devices InterceptIR sensor, was deployed to assist in key areas such as: 

  • Perimeter Security and Anomaly Detection: Ensuring the integrity of secured zones by providing real-time monitoring and alerting personnel to any irregularities or potential threats. 
  • Remote Air Monitoring: Conducting air quality assessments to detect any hazardous substances and ensure the safety of attendees and surrounding areas. 
  • Remote Trace Monitoring: Utilizing advanced sensors to monitor for traces of hazardous chemicals, providing critical data to support decision-making. 
  • Remote Hazardous Chemical Monitoring: Offering an additional layer of protection by detecting and analyzing chemical threats from a safe distance, minimizing risk to human operators.
