Position
Asylon Robotics is expanding its Government team and seeking a results-driven Account Executive to lead sales of our autonomous robotic security and inspection solutions—including the DroneDog quadruped platform and Guardian aerial systems into the Department of War. The role is focused on two mission areas: (1) persistent ISR and force protection for Navy and Marine Corps installations, piers, and expeditionary sites; and (2) high-value asset inspection at Access Control Points (ACPs). The Account Executive will own the full sales cycle for a defined Navy account portfolio—building senior relationships across NAVFAC, Navy Security Forces, Maintenance and Inspection, Marine Corps Installations Command (MCICOM), and base commanders; shaping requirements; and closing multi-year contracts through direct awards, OTAs, and prime/subcontractor teaming.
Primary duties include:
-
Account Ownership & Pipeline
- Own quota attainment for an assigned Navy account portfolio, including annual bookings, revenue, and pipeline coverage targets. Develop and execute account plans for target Navy and USMC customers with installation-security and base-modernization missions (e.g., NAVFAC, CNIC, Navy Security Forces, Marine Corps Installations Command, PAEs (former PEO offices), and NAVWAR PMW-130), identifying priority programs, incumbents, and recompetes for robotic ISR and physical security. Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline hygiene, and account intelligence in the CRM (Salesforce or equivalent), including GovWin/FPDS-informed opportunity tracking.
-
Customer & Stakeholder Relationships
- Build and maintain executive relationships with Navy and Marine Corps program managers, base commanders, PWDs (Public Works Departments), Security Officers (N3AT/S-3), contracting officers (KOs/PCOs), and end users operating robotic, ISR security, maintenance inspection, and ACP systems across CONUS and OCONUS installations.
-
Opportunity Shaping
- Shape opportunities pre-RFP through white papers, capability briefs, on-base demonstrations and pilots, RFIs, and sources-sought responses; influence requirements for autonomous ISR, force protection, and ACP inspection.
-
Capture & Proposal Leadership
- Lead capture and proposal strategy in partnership with Capture, Proposal, and Solutions Engineering teams, including price-to-win, teaming, and competitive positioning.
-
Contract Vehicles
- Manage the full sales cycle across Navy and Department of War contract vehicles relevant to robotics, installation security, and maintenance inspections, e.g., SeaPort-NxG, NAVFAC MACCs, DIU CSOs, OTAs via consortia such as NAC and TReX, SBIR/STTR Phase III, GSA MAS, and program-of-record contracts.
-
Teaming & Partnerships
- Develop and manage prime/subcontractor teaming relationships with large defense integrators, base-operations contractors, and physical-security system integrators.
-
Industry Presence
- Represent Asylon at Navy and defense-robotics industry events (e.g., Sea-Air-Space, AFCEA WEST, Modern Day Marine, AUSA, AUVSI XPONENTIAL, and ASIS GSX).
-
Compliance & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Ensure compliance with FAR/DFARS and Department of War ethics rules, and drive internal coordination with Customer Success, the Program Management Office, and Finance.
Required Skills and Experience
- 5+ years of enterprise sales experience selling into the U.S. Department of War, with at least 3 years directly focused on the Department of the Navy or U.S. Marine Corps—ideally selling robotics, unmanned systems, physical security, or ISR capabilities.
- Demonstrated record of closing $5M+ Navy contracts, with quota attainment at or above 100% in recent years.
- Deep working knowledge of Navy acquisition—PPBE cycle, 5000 series acquisition policy, JCIDS, and the roles of PEOs, SYSCOMs, and Fleet requirements sponsors (OPNAV N-codes).
- Hands-on experience selling through Navy and DoW contract vehicles (e.g., SeaPort-NxG, NAVFAC MACCs, DIU CSOs, OTAs, SBIR Phase III, GSA MAS) as either prime or subcontractor.
- Established relationships across Navy/USMC installation-security stakeholders (e.g., NAVFAC, CNIC, MCICOM, Navy Security Forces, program offices, and integrator partners).
- Ability to obtain DoW Secret or Top Secret clearance.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent military/professional experience.
- Willingness to travel up to 60%, including to Navy and Marine Corps installations (Norfolk, San Diego, Pearl Harbor, Jacksonville, Kings Bay, Camp Lejeune, Quantico, MCAS Miramar, Bahrain, Yokosuka) and to Asylon HQ in the Philadelphia area.
Highly Desired
- Prior U.S. Navy or Marine Corps service and/or operational experience (officer or senior enlisted), particularly in Master-at-Arms / Security Forces, EOD, military police, installation operations, or acquisition (DAWIA-certified) communities.
- Experience selling in one or more adjacent mission areas: autonomous ground/aerial robotics, perimeter and access control systems, video analytics and AI/ML, PSIM platforms, counter-UAS, or base infrastructure modernization.
Compensation
Competitive base salary with uncapped commission (OTE commensurate with experience and territory), plus equity. Actual pay will depend on experience, location, and territory.
- Comprehensive Benefits – medical, dental, and vision plans
- Retirement Savings – 401(k) with company match
- Paid Time Off – government-holiday-aligned PTO
- Equity – meaningful ownership in a category-defining company
