Boston & Norristown – Bosch Ventures, the corporate venture capital arm of the Bosch Group, and Asylon, a leader in autonomous physical operations, today announced an investment in Asylon to accelerate the development and deployment of autonomous, AI-enabled robotic systems for security, inspection, and other mission-critical physical operations.
Strengthening the resilience of critical infrastructure
Critical infrastructure operators face growing demands to monitor and secure complex physical assets around the clock. Asylon’s autonomous aerial and ground systems can continuously patrol sites, investigate security alerts, and provide real-time intelligence – helping operators detect potential threats earlier, respond faster, and reduce the need to send personnel into potentially hazardous situations.
The investment builds on an existing technology relationship between Asylon, Bosch and the Boston ecosystem. Currently, Asylon’s DroneIQ platform integrates with alarm systems used within Bosch Building Technologies security solutions, enabling security events to initiate autonomous robotic response and investigation using Asylon’s Guardian for aerial systems and Asylon’s DroneDog solution for ground robots. DroneDog is built on Boston Dynamics’ Spot robotic platform, combining advanced ground robotics with Asylon’s software and autonomous security capabilities.
Expanding Physical AI into real world operations
The integration connects existing security infrastructure with mobile autonomous systems capable of collecting real-time intelligence and extending the reach of human security teams.
“Asylon demonstrates the potential of Physical AI to make critical operations safer and more efficient. By combining autonomous aerial and ground systems with intelligent software, the team is bringing robotics into demanding real-world environments,” said Dr. Ingo Ramesohl, Co-Managing Director of Bosch Ventures.
The investment comes as Asylon expands its technology beyond automated security into a broader range of autonomous physical operations. The same combination of aerial and ground robotics, AI-enabled software and remote operational support can be applied to inspection and monitoring workflows across sectors including manufacturing, logistics, energy, data centers, defense-related aerospace. These applications can help organizations automate repetitive physical tasks, improve consistency and documentation, and increase operational efficiency.
“Bosch has been an invaluable technology partner for years, connecting traditional alarm infrastructure with autonomous robotic response,” said Damon Henry, Founder and CEO of Asylon. “This investment deepens that relationship, providing technological and strategic value that will accelerate our path to scaling our solution to improve operations and reduce costs for customers around the world. They’re an ideal partner to deepen trust and boost operations for some of the most demanding companies in the world.”
