Robert Himel

As the first Chief Financial Officer at Asylon Robotics, Robert Himel brings his extensive expertise in the financial industry to the Asylon team as they revolutionize the robotic security industry. Since joining the team, Robert has instilled independent thought, challenging ideas, and a discerning perspective to the leadership team.

Prior to joining Asylon, Robert spent 14 years at Bridgewater Associates, one of the world’s largest hedge funds. There, he was hired as division CFO for an established business unit where he built their finance function from scratch. He then worked as Program Manager & Chief Executive Officer in the office of the CEO during Bridgewater’s decade-long founder CEO transition. He went on to become a Senior Manager, leading Financial Planning and Analysis across Bridgewater. He later became Senior Director of Technology, Security, and AlA Finance, where he worked as CFO for Bridgewater’s full technology transformation and data center to cloud migration, working hand-in-hand with the CTO and Chief Security Officer. During his last two years at Bridgewater, he joined the company’s internal Al investment startup, AIA Labs, as CFO from its earliest stage. Under Robert’s leadership, the group incubated an Al-powered investment process and launched an additional hedge fund.

Earlier in his career, Robert was hired as the first employee of Boccieri Golf, a consumer products startup in the golf industry renowned for innovating the Heavy Putter. Over seven years, Rob served as CFO and COO, helping grow the company into one of the top ten brands in the golf equipment industry.

During this time, Robert started his MBA at Cornell University’s Johnson Graduate School of Management to further develop his skills. His outstanding work has led to having Fortune 500 and US military paying customers on a recurring basis, US military investment size, and continued investor support through successful fundraising.
